BEING HENRY

BEING HENRY

Henry Evans is not your typical robotics engineer. At the age of forty,
he experienced a brainstem stroke which left him mute and completely paralyzed from the head down.
Now, Henry uses robotics and other technologies to keep him connected to the things he loves.
Using virtual reality, see the world for a moment through Henry's eyes and the eyes of his robots.

OUR APPROACH

In order to create the best experience with the tools available to us, we combined stereoscopic HD video with spatialized audio to give our viewers a truly immersive experience. We wanted to bring the viewer into the life and mind of Henry and allow them to understand what it is like for him day to day. In order to do this even more deeply, we're also working with head and eye-tracking interfaces to allow the audience to use only their eyes to communicate as Henry does.
